CK Group are currently recruiting for a QC Analytical Technician to join a specialist chemical manufacturing organisation at their site near Cambridge on a full time, permanent basis.
Salary:
£25,000 ? £30,000 per annum DOE
The main purpose of the role will be to:
- Perform routine analyses including HPLC, GC, GC-MS, UV Spectroscopy and wet chemistry.
- Collect samples according to the Production Plan.
- Prepare and perform basic calibration and preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
- Evaluate validity of data, apply basic statistics, interpret results and take appropriate action.
- Monitor analytical systems, identify problems, conduct first-line troubleshooting and escalate as appropriate.
- Document, communicate and archive analytical results and calibration data.
- Suggest improvements to lab work processes and tools.
- Escalate non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent relevant experience in a laboratory. You should have a good knowledge of basic lab equipment.
- Practical experience in performing analytical testing (GLP) (preferred).
- Well organized and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently.
- Computer literate in standard MS office applications.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet customer / business requirements.
