We are currently looking for a Senior Process Chemist to join a leading Biotechnology company based in the Kent area. As the Senior Process Chemist you will be responsible for working with the chemical team leading continuing R&D and continuous improvement projects within the company while also working on the downstream processes.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Process Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Directing internal, external, research and development, and continuous improvement programs, and determining how they impact the company's operations and products
2. Establishing a methodology and utilizing analytical methods like GC-FID, HPLC, and others to locate and classify bioactive components
3. Assisting in the formulation of new goods and ensuring that the relevant regulatory and safety documentation complies with standards, among other business requirements for product development.
4. Helping train more junior staff members.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Process Chemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Chemistry related subject.
2. Proven industry experience in Process Chemistry.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience Working with nutritional or pharmaceutical products as well as microalgae and/or plants, as well as the extraction and refinement of natural products.
