We are currently looking for a Laboratory Support Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Laboratory Support Engineer you will be responsible for managing, organising and implementing day-to-day Laboratory Instrument Support activities through liaison and discussion with customers', PKI Planners, ILS Engineers and the Lead Scheduler.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Laboratory Support Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Laboratory Support Engineer you will provide high quality specialist engineering support to a wide range of laboratory equipment within the scientific community such as Balances, Centrifuges, Incubators etc.
2. You will diagnose faults on complex equipment and systems utilising the multi-disciplinary support internal and external to the team to produce a satisfactory solution.
3. As the Laboratory Support Engineer you will plan & carry out engineering maintenance and commissioning work associated with scientific equipment and systems in a safe, cost-effective manner to ensure minimum business disruption.
4. You will support users in the preparation/design of operating procedures, SOPs, Change Control and the deviation, manuals and drawings.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Laboratory Support Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant NVQ 3 in engineering or HNC/HND in engineering or electronics. Qualifications gained through experience is also suitable.
2. Proven industry experience in Laboratory Instrument Support is desirable but experience in food equipment or manufacturing equipment is also suitable.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with equipment such as Balances, Centrifuges, Incubators, refrigeration (freezers, ice machines, chillers), Vacuum Pumps, water purifiers
