CK Group are recruiting for an Inks manager to join our client at their site based in London on a full time, permanent basis for a salary ranging up to £65,000 depending on experience. The candidate must have ink formulation and inkjet production experience.

Our client has been manufacturing inks for over 40 years and have an exciting career opportunity for an Inks Manager to join them and lead a team of professionals to formulate, compound and evaluate all components of liquid inks and coatings and assess performance against defined sets of requirements.

Your main duties will involve:
- Management of team: recruit, motivating a small team, support, coach, train, absence cover, uniform, and PPE allocation, monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintaining production schedule and order management
- Defining and performing chemical and process analysis to test formulations and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures.
- Identify new product development opportunities
- Maintaining Health and Safety compliance: Ensure that facility, equipment is properly maintained and that housekeeping is maintained at a high standard
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Your Background:
- Degree in Chemical Process Engineering based subject (or equivalent with industrial experience).
- Experience in ink formulation and inkjet production
- Proven experience of successfully managing an SME
- Knowledge of P&L, sales, operational management, distribution, customer service, requirement capture and installation.
- 3-5 years of formulation experience with water-based printing inks / pigment dispersions preferred (may consider less experience)
