Our client is a well-established organisation based in the Swansea / South Wales area, and currently is seeking to recruit a Chemist to work within their manufacturing development environment.
This position is suitable for graduate chemist who is looking to establish a career in chemical engineering area.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc in Chemistry or related
- Experience of working in a manufacturing development environment in an appropriate field
- Computer literate
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Undertake work assigned by your team leader
- Document activities as necessary to enable 3rd party assessment of work undertaken
- Develop improved analysis techniques for the company products
- Propose new methods of materials analysis as and when appropriate, these should be supported by verifiable SOP’s
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to provide rapid product analysis
- Prepare formal technical reports for internal and external customers.
- Identify opportunities for analytical improvements
- Maintain analytical equipment, using external resources as necessary
- As and when required provide practical support for projects
- Working with the manufacturing team become conversant with operating procedures such that if required you could competently provide support for production.
- Attend appropriate training courses, seminars and conferences as may be required by the company
- Prepare formal process reports as requested
- Undertake tasks required by the executive board in support of business growth and technology exploitation
- Perform other tasks as maybe defined by the company executive in support of the business needs.
