Graduate Supply Chain Officer - Supplier Management - South Birmingham

A company, based in South Birmingham, are currently going through a planned growth plan for 2023 and need a new Supply Chain Officer to join them and develop their Supplier Management and Goods In processes. You will be working alongside an established team of administrators, design engineers and scientists.

We are looking for a recent graduates who have finished a degree or masters in a Supply Chain field. We do not need you to have experience in industry, however if you have a placement or prior work experience in a supply chain related field it would be welcomed. We will also consider candidates who have been in a role for a year or so, but have not been provided the training and development they wanted and have decided to start looking again.

You will be provided training and development and your main role will be in the management and updating of Supply Chain procedures and documentation while developing relationships with existing suppliers and also bringing in new suppliers.

Also, you will be responsible with goods in and some warehouse management duties, due to the size of the company you will be wearing a number of hats in your career. This is why ideally you will be eager to learn and open to learning duties from other departments also.

It is not often that a company provides an opportunity to move into a role that provide training. You will be working with highly technical individuals who will help develop your knowledge.

It would be advantageous is you have QMS knowledge or Supplier Quality exposure, but not essential.

You will gain access to multiple projects across the business meaning you will learn a lot of things about new medical devices, scientific engineering and new products that will lead in the marketplace for years to come.

As this is a new role, you will be taking duties that have previously been worked on the side by other people in the business. This means that you will be responsible for establishing the companies processes in the Supply Chain and Operations areas.

You will be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, bonus, pension and other benefits, however the really interesting component to this role is the training and development of your skills and careers, you will also get experience in the Medical Devices sector, a field a lot of people want access to but don't have the knowledge or experience to be in this field.

I expect a lot of interest in this role, so if you are interested, I suggest you make an application now or risk missing out.
