Technical Sales / Proposal Senior Manager (f/m/d)

Our client, a global leader in life sciences with operations across three continents, is seeking a Technical Sales/Proposal Senior Manager (f/m/d) to join their team. This role will be based in Visp, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote work, and will require some travel.

The Technical Sales/Proposal Senior Manager (f/m/d) will be responsible for managing the generation of quotes, estimates, and change orders by working cross-functionally within the organization.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Overall accountability for creating 'fit for purpose' proposals that understand and meet customers' needs and are aligned with operations to maximize our client's chance of winning projects and securing new business for Sales
  • Evaluating and translating customer needs from RFI/RFP into project scope, timelines, costs, quotations, and pricing by coordinating with multiple technical, operational, and commercial groups
  • Defining scope, agreeing on a tailored offering, and determining the cost for the proposed scope based on information from subject matter experts and evaluation team
  • Drafting well-structured proposals reflecting a tailored offering matching the client's needs and providing proposals for review to commercial development
  • Presenting scope, operational model, and costing to commercial development for sign-off and price setting
  • Connecting with other sites and technologies as appropriate to ensure the whole Customer Product Lifecycle joins up into one plan
  • Scheduling internal meetings to align the team and collect critical information needed for the delivery of a competitive proposal
  • Aiming to meet timelines for delivery of proposals

The ideal candidate will have:

· A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business/Science/Engineering

· Working knowledge of relevant progressive experience in various areas of proposal and/or commercial management, and an understanding of Biologics/Pharmaceutical industries.

· Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate, influence and gain commitment of the technical, program, and business development team members are essential.

· Additionally, the candidate should have project management, prioritization skills, the proven capability to manage multiple requests, meeting tight deadlines, attention to detail, and financial mindset required.

· Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and the ability to listen and understand customer needs are a must.
