Tax Manager
Duration: 6 months (Flex to extend)
Pay rate: £501.00 - £700.00 per day PAYE
Location: London (Hybrid working)
The role:
• The successful candidate will be joining the Indirect Tax Team based in London on a 3 day per week basis, although the team’s location and the taxes reach would be worldwide.
• The assistance needed will be primarily consultancy based. Typical queries will comprise of areas of (i) UK alcohol and excise duties, such as AWRS licencing, duty stamp compliance and warehousing, as well as (ii) assistance with scoping and consultancy related to European product-related taxes, e.g. Plastic Packaging Tax, sugar taxes, coffee tax.
Experience:
• The client is seeking an excise and local consumer taxes specialist to assist the team on a temporary basis.
• The ideal candidate would have around 3-5 years working experience with excise duties and other product-related taxes.
• The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a person with a can-do attitude, a great communicator and a fast learner, as required in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Given a rather specific working experience required, a candidate seconded by a Big 4 firm on a temporary basis would be ideal.
