Financial Analyst (VAT Analyst)

The client is looking for a VAT Analyst to join their finance team working with VAT Compliance team and VAT Advisory and Accounting teams.

Location: London (Hybrid working – 3 days a week in the office)

Duration: 9 months (Flex to extend)

Pay rate: £132.84 - £188.56 per day PAYE

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of European (e.g. German) VAT returns and related filings

• P&L, balance sheet and VAT reconciliations

• Ad hoc projects

• Assistance with tax requirement documents

• Enhancing existing processes

• Interaction with wider compliance team and VAT advisory team

• Expected is to deliver the daily VAT compliance work within the deadlines, file VAT returns & other related obligations before due date.

• Not a client facing role, the candidate will be mostly in touch with the wider VAT compliance team, VAT advisory and accounting

Experience and skills:

• Professional qualifications in ACA, ACCA or CTA

• 3-5 years of experience in VAT

• Experience of working in large complex organisation

• VAT experts (compliance), not financial accountants

• Strong accounting/reconciliation skills

• Strong excel skills – pivot, vlookup

• Ability to time manage and work autonomously
