A growing diagnostics business offering both production and R&D services from its Berkshire facility requires an R&D Scientist to join its team. You will support the applications team in the development of the company's ELISA product range. You must have commercial lab experience with a strong ELISA focus and a proven history of designing your own experiments. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing R&D team.
JOB DUTIES
- Planning and conducting experiments
- Taking ownership of projects with minimal guidance and in accordance with current SOP
- ELISA maintenance and development
- Processing and analysing results and data
- Presenting data to internal and external audiences
- Advising other departments on technical matters
- Contribute to weekly R&D meetings
- Able to suggest ways to improve assay performance
- Trained on conjugation and purification procedures
- To perform any other duties as required by the business
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Minimum of 3 years industrial experience within an R&D function
- Strong ELISA experience - design and development would be beneficial
- Experience in running and reporting of projects
- Experience in planning, conducting, and analysing experiments
- Comfortable presenting data to a wide audience
- Desirable Experience - Protein purification, conjugation, applications support and data analysis / biostatistics.
