An Account Manager is sought for a well-established and market leading name in their sector to manager biotech/Pharma and Academic accounts across the North UK.
The role of an Account Manager, Genomics will take full responsibility for the sale of services to customers. Working with customers across the academia, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and related sectors the company provides a range of services to support research and development within the genomics, sequencing, microarray and associated products to support develops in cell & molecular biology, imaging and immunology.
This is a field based Account Manager position and will involve networking with customers and KOL’s across the sector along with working closely with internal staff to provide a high level of service support. The successful candidate will be based in/around the territory and will take sole responsibility to develop customers across the territory. In addition to supporting the development of existing customers, the successful candidate will also take responsibility for identifying and developing business opportunities with new departments and new organisations to the company.
Applicants will be experienced Sales Account Managers with a proven track record selling into Genetics/Genomics/Molecular biology labs. You will have a credible background within the Life Sciences (BSc or higher preferred) and you will have a proven background selling similar Life Science Products or networking with key individuals within the sector and territory. Previous hands-on experience performing genomics analysis and sequencing would be highly advantageous.
A full driving license is essential and candidates must be fluent in English (written and oral).
