Systems Engineer

A market-leading energy storage business based in Surrey is currently recruiting an Analysis Engineer to join its advanced reactor team on a permanent basis. As Analysis Engineer, you will perform FEA/CFD analysis coupled with providing effective design solutions to optimise product functionality.

Analysis Engineer responsibilities

  • Perform CFD, thermal and structural analysis for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Able to perform hand calculations based on first principles.
  • Work towards becoming an analysis subject matter expert for Fuel Systems.
  • Lead analysis activity and mentor others across all levels.
  • Provide technical expertise in problem resolution, cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Support the mechanical design team in product design and development activities.
  • Provide effective design solutions to optimise product functionality, reliability, and stability.
  • Follow best practices for accurate computational efficiency.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reports of CFD results, suitable for product verifications and compliance.
  • Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvement.
  • Work with the test team in developing and executing design verification plans and testing correlation.
  • To attend design reviews; layout, HAZOP, 3D model review, mech design etc.

Analysis Engineer requirements

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience operating in a similar role requiring frequent CFD/FEA analysis and reporting.
  • Perform CFD, thermal and structural analysis for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Able to perform hand calculations based on first principles.
  • Work towards becoming an analysis subject matter expert for Fuel Systems.
