CK Group are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global materials manufacturing company based near Ormskirk on a full time, permanent basis.
The Company:
Our client is a global leader in manufacturing glass for architectural, automotive and technical sectors. They are also involved with the decarbonisation of the glassmaking process.
Location:
The Materials Technologist position will be based at the company's site near Ormskirk. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required due to the company's location.
Your main duties will be to:
- The successful applicant will work with colleagues from various functions in multi-disciplinary project teams.
- The role involves good team working skills and an ability to turn theoretical ideas and concepts into practical and reliable applications that ultimately contribute to the creation of innovative automotive, architectural, and other speciality glass products.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
- A knowledge of design principles
- Experience of 3D CAD packages
- Experience of producing mechanical drawing packages
- HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
- AutoCAD 2D
