COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST
Location: Harefield – Hybrid working 2-3 days per week
Pay rate: Up to £60,000 per annum + 10% bonus
Duration: 9 months (Fixed term contract) - Flexible to go to perm
MAIN PURPOSE
Responsible for developing and implementing common principles and reports for Commercial that inform, communicate, forecast and effectively control sales, costs and expenses.
To effectively support the budget, forecast and quarterly business review processes. To provide support accurate and reliable management information, documentation and cash management.
MAIN TASKS - COMMERCIAL
o Provide consolidated monthly sales reports and commentary and work with Market Commercial Controllers to ensure that sales are reported correctly to Financial Reporting Manager.
o Consolidate Commercial sales and expenses, providing variance analysis at BU & Regional Commercial Unit (RCU) level to Financial Reporting Manager.
o Support the consolidated budget and quarterly forecast exercises for the BU and commercial Teams.
o Prepare financial analysis and presentation materials for the review meetings.
o Provide KPI reports for monthly sales, expenses and brand P&L.
o Deliver “ad hoc” commercial reports, e.g., cost & sales, GM analysis, PV Reports.
o Consolidation of inventory, headcount and FTE reports across BU and Commercial teams.
o Support the financial accounting teams and commercial controllers, to ensure consistency in the reporting of local Commercial sales, costs, month end accruals, recharges and other financial information.
Business Support
o Provide full financial support to the Associate Finance Director Launch & Growth Bus, Head of Business partnering & Lead of Commercial Finance.
Planning
o Assisting with all the planning processes and cycles in line with the Finance calendar
o Provide supporting material and assist with preparation of presentations for the quarterly forecast and budget review meetings.
o Understand the management and legal entity reporting requirements for the client and prepare the budgets, forecasts and plans on these bases.
Projects
o Ad hoc projects as required.
o Input to and membership/management of projects as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Newly Qualified accountant; Finance background; experience in a multinational environment.
o Experienced in providing monthly and ad hoc management information to Senior Executives.
o Analytically strong with highly developed knowledge and ability to use IT systems (JD Edwards, TM1, Excel etc.) to improve processes and convert data into meaningful business information.
o Experience in producing budgets and forecasts.
o Conversant and knowledgeable of accounting and compliance rules.
