Our client is a well-established organisation based in the northwest area, who is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Synthetic Organic Chemist to work within their Chemistry Department.
The role requires "hands on" experience of synthetic organic chemistry techniques.
The successful candidates will be expected to possess a BSc or PhD in organic chemistry with 3-5 years of industrial or similar experience and can demonstrate an excellent knowledge of synthesis.
Duties include:
To carry out research and development and synthesis of final products.
To interpret the analytical data.
To ensure standard operating procedures are carried out at all times.
To be able to work on their own initiative and possess drive, problem solving skills.
To be able to meet target deadlines.
To demonstrate good safety awareness,
To maintain a good level of housekeeping at all times.
The applicants will be expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
