CK Group are recruiting for an experienced Senior Formulation Scientist, with experience in inhaled products, to join a pharmaceutical company at their site close to Chippenham on a permanent basis.
The Company:
Our client is an international pharmaceutical company, where their aim is to increase productivity in early development for respiratory new chemical entities and provide integrated drug product development for inhalation products and to get faster to clinical proof of concept.
Location:
This role is located in beautiful Wiltshire, at the company's Research & Development centre.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Be involved in project specific respiratory product development and designing appropriate formulation and process development studies.
- Design and manage, experimental protocols in a timely manner and in compliance with company requirements including the interpretation and reporting of results and findings as well as technical writing/reviewing formulation part of IND and IMPD documents.
- Work with global CMC technical project teams to support product development activities and innovation.
- Work with external CDMOs, CROs and suppliers for process transfer for scale-up, organization and management of tox and clinical batch manufacturing and relevant study monitoring activities.
Your Background:
- Life Sciences degree
- At least 5 years of experience in development of pharmaceutical dosage forms in R&D departments of pharmaceutical companies; experience in the inhalation products field preferred.
- Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards for pharmaceutical formulation development.
- Experience in external contractor management (CROs/CDMOs).
