Working as part of the analytical team, the analytical chemist will be responsible for day to day running of the instrumentation laboratory.
Responsibilities:
To manage on-site laboratory facilities and provide coordination of all analytical requirements, as required for day-to-day business as well as development projects. Manage the activities of other laboratory personnel. Ensure that all laboratory processes are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
Qualifications and experience
- MSc or PhD in analytical chemistry or related discipline with 2-4 years’ experience in method development and sample analysis using GC, GC-MS, TGA, UV/VIS, ICP-OES etc.
- Ensuring that all activities comply with SOPs, GLP and GMP requirements.
- Ensuring that all work carried out meets the requirements of the company including health, safety and environmental regulations policies.
- Liaising directly with customers
- Strong knowledge of the development and validation of analytical methods and analytical instruments.
- Experience of working in a GMP or GLP laboratory environment.
The successful candidate will have good communication skills, self-motivated, flexible, well organised and possessing excellent problem-solving skills.
