Senior Analytical Chemist

Kent   •  £28000 - £34000 per annum  •  Permanent, Full time


We are currently looking for a Senior Analytical Chemist to join a leading Medical Device company based in the Kent area. As the Senior Analytical Chemist you will be responsible for assisting the department in the development of analytical methods appropriate for the medical device in question and the investigation goal. The role also extends to training the other team members on testing, analytical instrumentation, protocol and report writing, as well as assisting in the development of SOPs/WIs.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Senior Analytical Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Senior Analytical Chemist you will support development of analytical methods with respect to sample preparation, data processing and interpretation of analytical systems such as HS-GCMS, GC-MSD, HPLC.

2. You will supervise the testing and make sure it is performed in line with established standards as well as support time management and effective project planning

3. As the Senior Analytical Chemist you will assist in data acquisition, protocol development and report writing. You will Supervise the testing and make sure it is performed in line with established standards.

4. You will Understand the Health and Safety principles and apply them, oversee the Health and Safety procedure in the Chemistry Dept

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Analytical Chemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline

2. Proven industry experience in Method Development and Method Validation of the analytical methods developed in house.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with analytical techniques such as GC, HS-GCMS, GC-MSD, HPLC
