Scientist/Senior Scientist - Production & QC

An excellent opportunity to join this award winning and rapidly growing University of Cambridge spin out. The role represents the chance to join the Production and QC team as a Senior Scientist or Scientist as the company extends from the research of iPSC and synthetic biology to full scale production, giving you the chance to influence the direction and grow with this department.

Beyond the excitement of joining the department in the early stages, the position offers the chance to work collaboratively with R&D, Development, Automation, Quality and Logistics. This role gives an exciting opportunity to greatly develop your understanding of companywide, multidisciplinary approaches.

You will be:

  • A critical part of the tech transfer from MSAT to manufacturing of the developed cell lines.
  • Leading the production runs and optimising processes.
  • Mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Engaging with senior management to establish KPIs, targets and goal.

You will have:

  • Experience working with production of induced pluripotent stem cells
  • Team leadership experience in a QC and/or Manufacturing department.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments such as GLP, GMP or similar.
  • A strong academic and/or industrial background.
