Graduate Chemical /Process Engineer

Our client servers most of the UK regulated water companies, with their multiple product and service frameworks, and also industrial customers in the dairy, food & beverage, and tourism sectors.

As part of their on-going investment in the UK, they are currently seeking to recruit a flexible and enthusiastic Graduate Chemical /Process Engineer to join their process design and technical support team.

Qualifications and experience

BEng, HND in Chemical Engineering or related.

1+ year postgraduate experience in a project engineering, R & D or M&E Eng. Environment

To have an ability to work on multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously.

Advanced MS Office skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data sets.

Good report writing skills.

Good communication skills and able to interact effectively with clients and colleagues

Good organisational skills with a commitment to the role and a keen eye for detail.

The Role includes:

  • Supporting the Technical Manager in the development and specification of new solutions and technologies.
  • Researching and presenting technical market intelligence.
  • Writing of technical report and responses for client queries
  • Attending project design review meetings.
  • Assisting project teams for site visits and meetings, etc.
  • Liaising with project managers and engineers
  • Willing to manage or support certain lower-value or local projects.
  • Producing case studies of some completed projects.
  • Visiting client sites and meetings as part of the information gathering process.
  • Assisting with the pricing of project proposals.
  • Assisting with project handovers between the Business Development and Contracts teams.
  • Attending at team meetings, in person or remotely.
  • Attending at certain industry meetings or events.
  • Other duties as may arise from time to time that are consistent with the job-holder’s knowledge and skills.
  • The Process Engineer will be expected to travel occasionally nationwide if required (including overnight stays)

Full driving license and any existing endorsements should be declared

The candidates must be able to drive and eligible to live and work in the UK
