Process Development Chemist

Hampshire   •  35-45K  •  Permanent, Full time


An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Process Development Chemist to work closely with chemists and chemical engineers in the Chemical Development Department.

The Process Development Chemist identifies and develops improvements for existing products/processes across a wide range of chemistries. In addition, the process development chemist will be leading the development of new and existing products in the laboratory as well as managing chemists.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a degree or PhD in chemical engineering or chemistry with 2-3 years’ experience in chemical process development.

  • Duties:
    Supporting process development through laboratory development, pilot plant scale-up and technology transfer to third party manufacturing facilities.
  • Carrying the identification and development of new instrumentation and automation technologies to support process development
  • Managing the transfer of bench-scale chemical processes to third party manufacturing facilities.
  • Evaluating and development of existing and new products.
  • Providing technical support for the manufacture of products
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team
  • Coaching and mentoring of team members to further improve capabilities.
  • Conducting projects in relevant aspects of new product and new process development
