Instrumentation Sales Specialist

The successful applicant will be able to positionautomation workflow solutions using a consultative sales approach into a variety of customer sectors including Academia, Biotech and Pharma. Strong communications skills and molecular biology experience are key qualities needed to be successful.

Key responsibilities:

- Achieve/exceed budget by growing the sales ofautomated products to the UK&I Life Sciences market.

- Apply a customer-centric sales process to support customers throughout the product lifecycle and provide customer demonstrations and training when needed.

- Effective weekly and monthly planning of field based activities, providing accurate sales forecasts to management via weekly forecast calls and company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

- Negotiate contracts and close orders with end users and purchasing departments and support all procurement processes. Accelerate the closing process.

- Work collaboratively with other team members to develop sales strategies and best ways to support potential and existing customers #Li-remote

Position Requirements

- Strong scientific background. Bachelor of Science, PhD or equivalent laboratory experience with hands-on experience of laboratory instrumentation within a Molecular Biology setting

- Relevant sales experience with a demonstrable understanding of business practice in the Life Science industry and knowledge of relevant markets, ideally with experience of handling complex sales and selling capital equipment. Experience of creating and executing strategic business plans in a proactive manner without considerable direction to accomplish the planned goals.

- Desirable: experience within an Applications role and/or providing demonstrations or training to laboratory users

- Must have experience of working well under pressure, prioritising according to the needs of your customers, territory and overall business, with the ability to accommodate urgent tasks where required. Provides solutions, not problems in response to dealing with complex situations.

- Ability to travel around UK and Ireland 60-80% of the time. LI-remote
