Occupational Health Advisor
Location: Croydon & Loughton
A multinational pharmaceutical and medical device company are currently looking for an Occupational Health Advisor to join their diagnostics team. Their purpose is to support diagnostic testing in order to provide vital information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.
The post holder will be a part of the national team to deliver the full range of occupational health duties including medicals, wellbeing services, health surveillance and case management. They will also be responsible for mentoring other health professionals.
Key responsibilities:
Working with customers to provide support, advice and guidance to both managers and employees
Conducting health surveillance and medical assessments
Providing advice to managers and HR regarding staff who are considered incapable of undertaking their normal responsibilities
Providing advice and support to managers/supervisors undertaking risk assessments relating to health matters affecting staff
Ensuring knowledge is maintained of up-to-date legislation and best practice relating to occupational health issues
Working with head office to increase the use of the service
Working as part of the clinical team to take ownership for, update and communicate sections of the clinical manual
Participating in network learning opportunities
Requirements:
A qualification in Occupational Health
Applicants must be on Part 3 of NMC Register (or working towards)
Willingness to travel 50% of the time
Experience carrying out medicals for train drivers
A qualification in Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS) is desirable
