CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Research Chemist to work for a contract Research and Manufacturing organisation in Durham. This client is offering an opportunity to be involved in supporting services for a variety of sectors including the pharmaceutical industry.
The main purpose of the role will be to:
- Deliver on synthetic chemistry programmes by developing, optimising and scaling new processes, furnishing novel molecules that meet our customers key quality attributes.
- Build relationships across our company, collaborators and customers through participation in project meetings, collaborative research events and technical report writing.
- Overseeing projects from concept through to delivery, supporting the Head of R&D, and supervising the team of Research Chemists.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- A motivation to deliver success on every project undertaken.
- The ability and enthusiasm to solve complex problems. A never give up attitude.
- A PhD with a focus on chemical synthesis.
- An expansive understanding and practical experience across different synthetic methodologies.
- A sound knowledge of practical analytical techniques.
