Continous Improvement Operational Lead

Stop the Press if you are a Continuous Improvement Process Operational Lead I would love to hear from you as I have an excellent opportunity to discuss with you, which is to join a well-respected Global Leader in Medical Device Manufacturing based in Oxford.

As the Continuous Improvement Process Operational Lead you will partner with the site, utilising the appropriate Lean, Six Sigma and change management methodologies, to define and implement process improvements; Ensuring integration and alignment vertically and horizontally across organisation.

This role will also facilitate improvement teams and provide support for program governance, project reviews, communications and training.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and lead the Process Excellence program through delivery of own project work, and other Lean initiatives such as facilitation of Kaizen Events,

Identify and define improvement projects aligned with business strategies and Operational priorities

Support the engagement strategy, infrastructure and training program to engage employees in Lean initiatives

Work with the existing Six-Sigma qualified associates and functional leads to support project identification, prioritisation and selection process

Work independently to complete own projects, as assigned, and by leading teams in the application of Lean and Six Sigma tools to solve business problems demonstrating expertise of the Lean Six Sigma toolkit

Support the rollout of Lean Six Sigma projects across functions

Facilitate meetings with management to review and examine project progress

Identify business opportunities through cross-functional partnerships

Provides expert coaching, training and mentoring in Lean Six Sigma tool and techniques to Green Belts

Establish and maintain performance metrics to measure program success

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Degree level qualification in Engineering subject

Formal Lean/Six Sigma qualifications

Working experience within the Medical Industry

Lean Six Sigma/Manufacturing and Project Management experience

To be commercially aware

Excellent report writing skills

An enthusiastic, positive and influential approach

To be an effective leader and team worker, equally able to work on their own

To be highly self-motivated, a self-starter and resilient
