Role Summary:

Cpl Life Sciences are partnered with a global pharmaceutical business who are seeking an entry-level Medical Information Specialist to join their progressive and high-achieving team.

This role offers individuals with a background in Biological Sciences or Pharmacy, the opportunity to step into a fast-paced role in pharma. You will be updating public websites, working with regulatory documents, managing the medical information inbox and acting as the local safety officer for adverse event reporting great for someone who loves that scientific buzz!

This position is perfect for a Biological Scientist, Pharmacist or graduate with exceptional attention to detail looking to develop their career in a hands-on role within the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to medical information requests (or inquiries) from internal and external customers and ensure the responses are medically and scientifically accurate, timely, balanced, and meet customers needs.

Respond to inquiries received via phone, email, internet or mail with high quality customer service and document the inquiry and response accurately and completely according to relevant Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and regulatory guidelines.

Assist MI Scientists/Pharmacists to create/update and approve prescribing Information for use on promotional items by marketing colleagues.

Deliver high quality literature search, including identification of key literature that would support the creation of medical content and check for or obtain copyright permissions prior to internal or external use.

Act as UK and Ireland local safety officer logging, tracking and filing all documents and performing QC and follow up for all UK and Ireland adverse event reports.

Attend local safety officer teleconferences and face to face meetings, liaising with Pharmacovigilance team as required.

Requirements

Biological Sciences/Pharmacy degree essential

Exceptional attention to detail essential

Strong accountability, interpersonal and organisation skills essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential

Understanding of regulatory guidelines affecting medical information desirable
