A growing biotech business requires a Manufacturing Technician to join its production team. You will join a busy GMP lab supporting the maintenance of the lab environment and the manufacture of ELISA plates, large scale buffers and reagents. You will ideally have a scientific with previous experience in a production, manufacturing or lab-based role.
This role also offers a 4-day working week - hours would be 8 am - 5:15 pm.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
Manufacture of all ELISA diagnostic kit components:
- Microtitre plate coating
- Bulk buffer and reagents
- Positive and negative controls
- Antigen Processing
- Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Calibration of lab equipment
- Maintaining the lab to a GMP/GLP standard
- Performing other duties required by the business
Qualifications:
Scientific degree is preferred, with Science and Maths A-levels desirable
Personal Skills:
- Attention to detail and pride in work
- Analytically minded
- Works proactively both individually and in a team
- Good organisation and tidiness
- Ability to follow procedures
Technical Skills and Experiences:
- Six-months lab experience (preferably in a repetitive manufacturing environment) is preferred but not essential.
- Technical understanding of ELISA and its applications beneficial
- Working within a GMP/GLP framework is preferred but not essential
This is a permanent role, working on a 4-day week - 8 am-5:15 pm. £21k + company benefits.
