CK Group are recruiting for a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join our client at their site based in Cheshire on a full time, permanent basis for a salary ranging from £25,000 to £30,000 per annum.

This role is located in Cheshire. The site is easily commutable from Warrington, Stockport, Manchester, Macclesfield and Stoke on Trent
Synthetic Organic Chemist:
Our client is looking for a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join their growing contract research and medicinal chemistry teams
Your main duties will be:
- To custom synthesis projects on a small, laboratory scale
- To be involved in projects synthesising compound libraries for testing in medicinal chemistry lead identification / lead optimisation programs
- Handling and synthesis of highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Previous experience in practical organic chemistry
- Educated to a BSc/MChem level is essential
- Educated to PhD level is desirable
- Experience gained in pharmaceuticals, life sciences or agrochemical sectors is desirable
- Additional experience in medicinal chemistry drug design or the synthesis of high potency small molecules is advantageous
