Calling all Field Service Engineers or Service Specialists, who would like to work for a company who arepassionate about improving human wellbeing within the biotechnology industry. This role will be the perfect fit, providing a fantastic opportunity to travel across Europe installing, maintaining and service their LC-MS products as well as providing expertise to help keep their instruments running efficiently. Please do note that this role will be travelling across the UK but mainly Europe for 70% of the time.

Role responsibilities for you as the Service Specialist will include the following:

Expansion for Automation in the service realm with definitive activity in Northern and Southern Europe, with scope for other regions as required.

Responsible for service business development and growth through credibly supporting the well- recognized business as well as other technologies like articulated robotics & partner solutions.

Support technical for customers and field team.

Apply and develop the clients Management System, including the Quality Management System (QMS)

To be successful in this role as a Service Specialist you shall have the following experience and qualifications:

Qualifications/Formal Education:

Bachelors degree in science or engineering.

Work Experience:

5 years of successful laboratory workflow service experience with practical knowledge in Mass spectrometry, GC, LC and liquid handling automation expertise.

Experience maintaining or servicing equipment, with experience and certifications on CTC platforms, and knowledge on operation of the major chromatography data systems

Detailed practical and theoretical background in analytical system design and implementation, coupled with associated MS and other detection methods.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Passion for focusing on the customer with a track record of service and install for laboratory workflow automation, in analytical and biological workflows

Strong organizational and self-motivational skills, able to work well remotely

European travel as required to support regular service and install activity. Some international travel potential to support technology transfer and Automation global expansion.

Able and willing to participate in company and customer teleconference meetings supportive of the globally distributed nature of the business

An ability to develop customer relationship through understanding needs and a commitment to work closely to ensure the complete workflow solutions they require are provided in a timely manner. Has a Keep the customer first understanding and a get the job done attitude

Experience understanding laboratory work flows and product/technical needs.

A consultative approach is demonstrated towards understanding the laboratory environment the customer is working within and the technical support required to meet their needs.

Experience in servicing customers within the scientific/medical industry is required to successfully execute this role. The ability to paint a specific mental picture for people when troubleshooting and sorting out workflow challenges

An ability to go beyond understanding the superficial needs of the customer and to question and explore opportunities to service the customer workflow by providing insightful and creative automation is required.

Analytical Decision Making Not only from Business perspective, also in problem solving. Science or engineering background beneficial to the necessary workflow.

Mechanical Aptitude and ability to service hardware. Example - Very comfortable with a screwdriver and hands on approach.

Not afraid to make mistakes (learns from them), willing to take chances

Proficient sourcing local parts and components in support of installation & support needs as required.
