CK Group are recruiting for a Trainee Business Manager to join a cleaning and sanitisation chemical manufacturing company at their site based in Haltwhistle on a full time, permanent basis. Please note this sales role is site-based and will include some travel (both national and international).

Our client is ISO9001 accredited and also manufactures to GMP standards. They have a stable and secure history and this role offers the opportunity to progress; the successful candidate will become the Business Manager of Industrial/ Oil and Gas after satisfactorily completing a 12-month probationary period. The role will predominantly be office-based, however some some hands on training will be required. The company offers a salary of £20,000pa which rises to £25,000 after the probation period has been completed. Benefits include 25 days holiday + bank holidays, early finish on a Friday, free parking, company car after probation period and pension scheme.

The site is accessible by road from Newcastle and Carlisle. Please note the ability to drive with own car is essential.
The Role:
Your main duties will be:
- Driving sales and revenue, whilst maintaining retention of existing customers.
- Managing and liaising with all current Industrial/ Oil and Gas accounts.
- Developing relationships and networking with current and potential customers/ distributors.
- Seek out new product opportunities and current/ new product development and have a keen interest in developing products/range for the renewable energy sector.
- Accompany Senior Managers to exhibitions (help to organise and attend industry specific exhibitions)
- Keep abreast of new legislation and trends that relate to the Industrial/ Oil and Gas industry.
- Write detailed reports and provide management with feedback.
- Work with and plan production workloads in conjunction with production (including attending planning meetings)
- Organise and attend/complete internal and external audits.
- Review order patterns and analyse them for potential and future problems/business opportunities.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Chemistry - essential, 2.2 as a minimum
- Experience in business sales and customer service strongly preferre
- High standard of written and verbal communication including excellent telephone manne
- Driven, determined and competitive
- Smart and well presented
