Our client is looking for candidates based in Switzerland / EU passport holders for a 12-month, full time contract. The role is as an Analytical Development & Quality Control Manager in Drug substances.
The ideal candidate will
- Have a Bsc, MSc or PhD with relevant experience in the field of chemistry, biochemistry, biology or chemical engineering with years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with previous success in a managerial function
- A strong background in analytical chemistry and a knowledge of GMP/regulatory requirements
- Knowledge in synthetic chemistry, drug substance processing and pharmaceutical sciences in relation to product development
- Experience on the development and performance of analytical tests for drug substances
Responsibilities and tasks of the manager working in AD/QC include but are not limited to:
- Organisation of lab activities according to defined guidelines and SOPs
- Responsible for a project portfolio of up to 4 small projects (typically up to phase 2)
- Representation of AD/QC in technical project team and CMC team meetings
- Write-up and review of analytical protocols and reports
- Drafting and review of CoAs, analytical results sheets, specifications, SOPs, GUIs, TPLs and FRMs
- Design and lead laboratory work to support product or process troubleshooting, special investigations, deviations, change requests, CAPA, product complaints and other analytical tasks independently.
- Independent evaluation and development of novel analytical techniques and instrumentation.
- Contact 3rd parties, e.g., CMOs and CROs, for defined analytical tasks.
- Manage the outsourcing of analytical activities to CROs/CMOs in a compliant way including supplier selection input and evaluation of the analytical services from the suppliers.
The rate is 73.72 CHF/per hour with a 12-month full time contract
