Tool Developer
Duration : 12 months
Location : Remote (UK)
Rates : Up to £80 per hour
Experience of development of new statistical software / analysis tools - Experience, or understanding, of end-to-end agile software tool development and lifecycle management
Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. R & Python)
Broad understanding of within Pharma - clinical drug development would be a significant advantage
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As a tool Developer you will be part of the Quantitative Solutions team providing high quality software solutions in support of the drug development portfolio, for example:
Propensity Scores
Indirect Comparisons
Trial design simulations
Data visualisations
Subgroup Analyses
Decision making methodologies
Machine learning
Technical expertise on tool development to staff within EB&SI, DS&AI
Working alongside others, you will contribute programming expertise in R and/or python for the agile development of new software tools. You will be responsible for improving the productivity, scalability and ease of use of existing tools and solutions, whilst ensuring that our statistical software tools are developed and validated and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Essential
Experience of providing programming for package development, testing and validation of R packages for either statistical analysis, modelling & simulation, or business applications
BSc or above in biostatistics, mathematics, informatics or related subject
Broad understanding of clinical drug development & the pharmaceutical environment
Desirable
Experience, or understanding, of end-to-end agile software tool development and lifecycle management
Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. R-Shiny, Java, Python, Spotfire, C/C++, VBA/VBS) would be advantageous
