Lease Accounting Project Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a Lease Accounting Project Manager to join a multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company.

The client presents an exciting opportunity for you to directly contribute to a key strategic objective in our Finance Roadmap. The project will transform the end-to-end Lease Accounting (IFRS16) processes and system. The project will help improve process cycle times, increase efficiency, and reduce manual efforts in performing lease recording activities and balance sheet reconciliations and manage reporting risks

To enable us to deliver this we have a need for a strong experienced Project Manager you will utilise your knowledge in Lease accounting IFRS 16 standard, preferably having previous experience of working with IFRS 16 adoption understanding of Lease accounting systems and data structure, to ensure our project lands on time, on-budget and in adherence with quality and compliance standards.

Location: Luton - 2 days office / 3 days remote.

Pay rate: 500 per day Outside IR35 LTD/ UMB

Hours: 37.5 days a week

Duration: 8 months

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Status report on behalf of the project at all levels required

Set, create, and drive project governance; ensuring clear agendas and objectives are set and clear actions and decisions taken and tracked to timely completion

Manage project benefits, budget and actual spend; escalating changes and risks/issues

Apply highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in project management, project planning, budgets and methodologies

Review and agree deliverables prepared by the workstreams and ensure sign-off in a timely manner

Understand the importance of complying to SOx, quality and compliance principles manage risks and issues and ensure the end solution adheres to the required level of compliance

Manage action logs, risks and issues ensuring data is ready for reporting in real time

Work with Change Management and Deployment to develop detailed change, cutover and deployment plans and ensure controlled hand-overs to users and business as usual processes

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION ,QUALIFICATIONS ,SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

10+ years experience in project management within Finance/Finance Transformation Functions, with a proven track record

Experience in IFR 16 system integration and implementation (Lease Accounting)

Ability to interpret and communicate project information into shared language and in alignment with AZ business

Proven track record in delivering high risk programme/projects and decision making

Experience of managing and controlling a budget

Experience of working in large matrixed organisations.
