Laboratory Analyst
Kent / remote travelling travelling to various sites
16 - 17 per hour
6 month contract, potential for extension
Cpl Life Sciences are currently working with a global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention services to protect the lives and health of people around the world. We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to support laboratories across Kent, Sandwich and Croydon with chemical water analysis.
Key responsibilities;
- Analyse organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships and reactions
- Improve and customize products, equipment, formulas, processes and analytical methods
- Compile and analyse test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions
- Write technical papers and reports and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products or tests
- Prepare test solutions, compounds and reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests
- Confer with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects and assist in the interpretation of test results
Qualifications/ skills required;
- Degree in a chemistry or related subject
- Chemistry, water treatment experience
- Basic knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo
- A full UK clean driving licence
