Key Account Manager

£50,000-£60,000 pa plus car allowance and excellent benefits package

Home office based (3-5 days travel per month)

Working as part of the Commercial Team, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing all products and services to their vast and well established customer base. Dealing with mainly existing customers, you will be using x-selling and up-selling approaches to identify where you can add additional support to clients already trading with the organisation. This is an exciting position for a true “Key Accounts Manager” and would suit a strong relationship builder who enjoys networking within an existing customer base and who can use solution sales skills to identify opportunities for new business channels.

You will:

  • Provide the highest level of client service
  • Create and develop relationships with clients that deliver sustainable, targeted revenue growth through sales & account development activities
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team Lead to establish and implement campaigns for new client acquisition
  • Support technical experts within the business to plan strategic approaches to target sector niches
  • Attend UK, European and Global events as appropriate

Experience of:

  • Coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams in client facing and revenue generating activities
  • Strategic & key account management
  • Generating successful client relationships that deliver sustainable revenue growth
  • Analytical, science and technology within the Food science, food tech and Beverage sector is essential

Skills / Knowledge Required:

  • Result orientated and forward thinking with a commercial mind-set
  • Able to prioritise accounts and activities to where most appropriate for revenue growth and development of strategic accounts
  • An excellent communicator and influencer with strong negotiating skills
  • A team player capable of performing to a high standard in a collegiate management structure
  • Degree in science or technology or equivalent professional experience
  • Full, clean driving license

This is a home office based role with some travel (c3-5 days per month) to clients in the UK and occasionally internationally.
