Production Manager - Microfluidics Systems - Cambridge

A growing spin-out microfluidics technology company are currently looking for an experienced Production Manager for their site in South Cambridge, where you will lead a production team in producing the fluidic systems.

Their technologies are being used within the Medical Devices and Scientific sectors and are being used to improve people's lives.

Attention to detail and time management will be important as you will be creating, monitoring and maintaining the production schedules for the team.

The microfluidics systems are very complex, and you will be working with R&D Engineers continually, so ideally your Production Manager experience will have been within a fluidics or microfluidics background, such as medical devices, inkjet, printing, life sciences or other similar highly complex fields.

As the company grows, continuous improvement project will be vital. Ideally you will have a proven track-record of successfully delivering on continuous improvement projects.

It is expected that you will be fully aware of ERP systems and QMS while ideally holding a degree in a relevant field that led you into production or manufacturing, however industry experience is more important than education.

The company is at a stage where they are starting their production/manufacturing cycle, so knowledge from a start-up or scale-up company when you have had to put in the procedures yourself will be highly advantageous.

Apart from being involved with an exciting and growing company, you will be offered an excellent starting salary, bonus, pension, generous holiday allowance, medical insurance, life assurance, shares purchase scheme, job security and other excellent benefits you would normally expect with a larger company.

I'm expecting a lot of interest in this role and the company will hire as soon as they find the right person, so if you are interested, I'd suggest applying now or risk missing out.
