QC Scientist - IHC

SRG are working with a rapidly expanding biotechnology company focusing on providing high quality immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridisation to the market. The company has a real focus on culture and providing opportunities to develop and grow dependant on the personal goals of the employees.
The role
* Deliver day-to-day management of the QC process, testing using automated immunohistochemistry platforms, assessment, and reporting.
* Review batch results with the production team, provide feedback on quality of materials coming through.
* Perform incoming QC testing on materials and reagents.
* Handle customer enquiries and complaints - report back to wider team (commercial, production and R&D)
* Provide regular metrics on performance to the management team
* Work with R&D for the adoption of new parameters on products in development and to be released.
* Quality management system creation/maintenance
o As an ISO13485 certified company we work to procedures and protocols as described within our QMS. It is imperative that these are kept updated and where necessary new procedures are created. As part of this role the position is expected to carry these tasks out.

Requirements
Essential:

* Proficient in performing all routine and relevant QC laboratory techniques such as Histology, Microtomy, IHC staining and interpretation of the results.
* Basic data management skills, i.e. Microsoft Office
* Experience with lab equipment e.g. pH meters, balances, micropipettes.
* Excellent personal communication skills
Desirable:
* Embedding
* Tissue processing
* Experience working in a controlled environment, preferably to ISO 13485 standard
* Experience liaising with customers and complaint handling
* Image analysis
