An international chemical development business based in Oxford is currently recruiting for a Sustainability Advisor to join its team on a permanent basis. The Sustainability Advisor is a critical role providing key engagement with internal and external parties regarding to strategy, reporting and commercial efforts that support the company's sustainability targets.
Sustainability Advisor responsibilities
- Lead development of the annual Sustainability Report
- Bring external knowledge to drive a best-in-class approach to Sustainability
- Coordinate community activities and related engagement of fellow colleagues.
- Market intelligence to determine sustainability needs and value propositions
- Sit within the corporate Sustainability Team and will be involved in the strategy, reporting, social and commercial efforts that support the company's sustainability strategy.
Sustainability Advisor requirements
- Degree level qualification
- Experience developing and implementing sustainability strategies within a business
- Commercial awareness and business acumen in a sustainability context
- Ability to absorb information and transform into a compelling narrative
- Excellent engagement, influencing and networking skills
- Ability to work effectively with competing priorities
- Strong commitment to safety and quality values
- Experience within the chemicals and/or oil industry is desirable
