Compliance and Safety Manager

Bristol BS1 - Hybrid

9 Month contract

35,000 Annum

Key Responsibilities

Lead compliance in all health and safety matters across the business in alignment with all

key stakeholders.

Responsible for the development and reporting of internal safety KPIs as well as timely reporting of all UL KPI to global and UK safety teams.

Accountable for carrying out annual UL safety performance review and ensuring

corrective actions are implemented in full to support effective continual improvement

across the business.

Prepare and host Government agency visits, Customer & Third-party audits associated with H&S and Food safety. Manage and complete all non-conformances / feedback requirements.

Accountable for internal audit program; scheduling, monitoring and ensuring timely completion of non-conformances and verification of preventative actions.

Responsible for ensuring QMS compliance in managing non-conformances, procedural update and training wider Quality team as required.

Provide leadership to develop and implement food safety and key QA programs, e.g., HACCP, GMPs, Food Defence, Pest Control, Incident Management, complaint handling, Food Allergen management and Environmental Monitoring.

Providing technical knowledge and helping develop expertise across the site, fully

understanding the processes and constraints to improve Food Safety, legality and quality

compliance.

Arrange and carry out in liaison with other personnel, safety training of all employees. Ensuring that all training records are up to date and that statutory training is in place.

Responsible setting required standards for third party manufactures in alignment with UL policies and in-market requirements e.g. FDA

Qualifications

Educated to a degree level scientific qualification preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

Experience of delivering a quality improvement program.

Knowledge of Food Safety, Quality and Health and Safety.

Experience of working in FMCG and pharmaceutical environment.

Skills & Competences

An individual who aims high and is determined to deliver excellence.

Ability to assimilate new knowledge quickly and adapt communication style and form for different audiences.

Experience of successfully understanding audiences & stakeholders to engage, influence and persuade.

Ability to design and deliver technical training materials.

Ability to prioritise workload effectively and influence others to prioritise where needed.

Proficient in navigating computer systems, including Microsoft office and databases.
