The Company

An innovative medical devices company that focuses on in vitro diagnostics products. They are currently in a period of transformational growth and they are looking to continue this expansion. They are currently looking for a Senior Scientist - Assay Development to join their busy R&D team to manage the daily activities for multiple technical assay development projects.

The Role

As a Senior Scientist - Assay Development you will work within a fast-paced R&D laboratory environment to drive the progress of a range of projects. This will involve a variety of duties, including;

  • Take responsibility for assay development projects and lead their delivery
  • Lead a small team of Scientists, planning daily activities
  • Create and develop experiments to drive progression in the project
  • Resolve technical issues and make decisions based on the analysis of the results of these experiments
  • Prepare and present results of experiments for senior management

Your Experience

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience;

  • Proven experience working in an R&D environment on assay development
  • Strong understanding of IVD technology
  • A minimum of a BSc in a relevant scientific subject
  • Leadership/supervisory experience
