Role – Senior Procurement/Sourcing Manager
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Office Working 60% per week
Salary: Up to £80k plus £5.2k Car Allowance plus benefits
CPL Life Sciences are working with a Global Pharmaceutical Company who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to join their Procurement team in Hertfordshire.
Our client employs nearly 14,000 people in over 95 countries and has 14 manufacturing facilities in four countries, five R&D centres and front-ends in US, EU, India, Brazil and other markets worldwide.
Brief Job Overview
Responsibility: Manage sourcing and product life cycle for InLicenced & contract manufactured finished goods, contract negotiations, strategic supplier partnerships, pan Europe supplier risk mitigation & supply chain assignments and COGS improvement projects
• Managing all Sourcing activities
• Negotiating cost for active raw materials and finished goods
• Cost negotiations to achieve purchase saving and manage supplier relationships with approx. 80+ partners and suppliers (in 15 countries across Europe)
• Goods are manufactured externally
• Contract Negotiation/Management
Key Requirements
• Graduate with masters OR post graduate diploma / management degree specialising in operations management, supply chain management, finance.
• 4-5 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical industry with strong techno-commercial understanding in the areas of:
strategic sourcing of APIs / FGs
contract management
supply management
Strong Project Management experience
• Solid experience with manufactured finished goods/raw materials
• QA & RA experience
• Advanced knowledge of ERP and MS Office, especially Excel
