An exciting opportunity for a Life Science Sales Specialist to join a large, well established instrumentation organisation who supplies Instrumentation, consumables and peripherals to the bioPharma manufacturing industry. The successful candidate manage all Pharma & Biotech business within Scotland. Our client is looking for a STEM graduate with experience of selling into the broader Life Sciences industry. Full product training will be provided so specific experience selling into bioPharma is not essential. This is a solution sales opportunity so would suit a highly consultative sales profession with a strong track record working with clients to develop opportunities.
Key duties will include (but not limited to):
- Prospect for new business and promote the full range of products (instrumentation, peripherals and consumables)
- Develop a local strategy for the territory in-line with corporate aims and approaches
- Weekly client visits with new prospects and existing clients
- Maintain a strong pipeline of leads, quotes, tenders and sales to consistently hit monthly sales targets and KPI’s
- Effectively manage leads, quotes and tenders through the sales cycle
- Work closely with in-house technical specialists, utilising their support to develop sales opportunities and deal with technical questions as appropriate
- Be aware of current market trends and feedback to Product Development team potential innovations and opportunities
- Attend industry exhibitions/events on behalf of the organisation

You will be degree qualified in a relevant Scientific or Engineering discipline with an eagerness to progress your career within instrumentation sales. Candidate will have a consultative sales approach with the ability to develop new sales opportunities as well as growing sales within existing customers through effective account management. You will be fluent in English with a UK driving license.
