Senior Systems Engineer - IVD Medical Devices Sensors - Oxford

A start-up Medical Devices company, based in Oxford, are currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer to join them and help with the design, development, building and testing of a novel IVD Medical Devices Sensors technology.

As a start-up company, there will be share options available once they are issued next year. This will give you a chance to really be rewarded for your excellent work as the company succeeds.

Your focus will be leading the design, development, building and testing of the hardware of this new IVD Medical Device. Working alongside some excellent Medical Devices Physicists, Biochemists and Design Engineers, this technology has a great chance of disrupting the marketplace.

This IVD Medical Devices Sensors will be microfluidic based and electro-mechanical. Due to this, ideally you will need to have worked within industry on IVD Medical Devices, Sensors Technology, Microfluidics Systems or another electro-mechanical or electro-medical device and be able to take this knowledge to lead the development of this new technology.

As this role is within a start-up company, you will be expected to help with other areas of the business when needed also. Due to this, it would be ideal if you have worked for a start-up or scale-up Medical Devices company previously or worked for a Medical Devices/Scientific Design Consultancy and know what it's like to wear multiple hats when needed.

If you have worked for an IVD focused Medical Devices company or Life Sciences company, this would be a great thing to showcase on your CV.

It is expected that you would hold a degree and masters in a related Medical Devices, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Electronics Engineering or another relevant scientific subject. It would also be great if you hold a PhD, however this will not be essential.

Apart from future share options, you will also be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, pension and future career development as the company grows.

As this is an exciting role, joining a start-up company right at the beginning of their inception, I'm expecting a lot of interest in the role. So, if you are interested, please apply straight away or risk missing out to someone else.
