Surface Chemist - Scientific Start-up - Cambridge
A growing Start-Up Scientific company, based in Cambridge, are currently looking for a Surface Chemist to join their science team and help with the development of new technologies.
Working within a laboratory environment, along with Biochemists, Chemists and Physicists, you will be a key member on the development, testing and improvement of technologies. Specifically, you will focus a lot on your time on the synthesis and characterisation of surface structures within the company's device that has thousands of miniaturised reaction sites.
To be successful in this role, you would hold a relevant PhD in chemistry as well as some experience with surface structures within a life sciences environment. Any experience with techniques such as AFM, microarray printing of fluorescence microscopy would be advantageous, as would experience with transferring processes from R&D to manufacturing. We are considering people with different seniority levels.
Due to working in a multidiscipline team, you will need to be able to communicate your ideas and results clearly and with confidence, both in person and via emails/journals.
This organisation is offering you the chance to work on cutting edge life improving technologies, an excellent starting salary and benefits package (including life assurance, medical cover, share scheme and other benefits you don't normally obtain with a start-up company).
If you are looking to test your scientific knowledge and be a part of a team of scientific experts, make an application now. I'm expecting a lot of interest in this role, so you do not want to miss out by waiting too long to apply.
