CK Group are recruiting for a Bioinformatician to join a to join a global pharmaceutical company, based in Slough on a contract basis initially for 6 months

Up to £24 per hour PAYE

Bioinformatician Role:
? Implementation of data science-based solutions for relevant application problems
? Enablement or development of innovative informatics or data science techniques.
? Communication of scientific results inside and outside the team with all relevant stakeholders.
? Active collaboration with relevant stakeholders (including IT) within Discovery Research and Therapeutic Areas.

Your Background:
? Hold a M.Sc. or PhD in a biological science with an informatics / data science component. Also skills & experience in informatics, mathematics or computer science.
? Good programming skills in relevant language(s) (R / Python / Java). Unix & cloud compute / Docker experience is desirable
? Knowledge / experience of bioinformatics approaches (particularly sequence based)
? Experience with analysis of large / high dimensional datasets including data manipulation / wrangling. Previous experience with Next Generation Sequencing data processing & analysis pipelines is highly desirable
? Strong biological domain knowledge, with a focus on immunology.
? Transcriptomics analysis (single cell particularly desirable)
