The Company

A leading medical devices company that focuses on IVD products are looking for a number of individuals to join the R&D team as an R&D Manager - Assay Development to lead a technical team in the delivery of a range of diagnostic assays.

The company is currently undergoing a period of growth and this is something they are looking to continue. They are innovative and dynamic and have a great reputation within the industry.

The Job

As an R&D Manager - Assay Development you would work in a fast-paced R&D laboratory environment on a range of duties, including;

  • Leading and developing a team of Scientists and Senior Scientists
  • Driving the development of assays from concept to launch
  • Developing robust assays and ensuring Design Control procedures are used
  • Ensuring that the assays are fit for purpose and meet the requirements in terms of cost, performance and stability
  • Making sure that GMP, GLP and GDP standards are met
  • Communicating project updates with both internal and external stakeholders

Your Experience

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;

  • Proven technical and team leadership experience
  • Significant industrial experience and understanding of working with IVDs, immunoassays or other diagnostic assays
  • Experience working with ISO 13485 standards
  • A minimum of BSc in a relevant scientific subject
