Senior Process/ Manufacturing Engineer

A medium sized pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation based in the Cheshire area are seeking to recruit senior process/ manufacturing engineer in a management position

The Senior Process Engineer will manage the engineering and process development activities, through project management. The successful candidate will lead development projects from laboratory to plant, scale-up and commercialisation. Depending on the stage of the project, the Senior Process Engineer’s work will range from the innovative aspect of solution generation and evaluation. Must have knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes and engineering to manage process development and advise the project team and other stakeholders on technical issues relating to the manufacture of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Process /Manufacturing Engineer will conduct feasibility studies, design and develop viable pilot processes.

The process / manufacturing engineer will plan and manage joint development projects with suppliers of equipment and will advise on technical aspects relating to the manufacturing processes for novel products.
Qualifications & Experience:
An Engineering degree in Process / Chemical or similar Engineering field with proven experience in an engineering Research and Development (R&D) environment, or extensive experience of major projects requiring the development and operation of novel process pilot plants.
Proven project management skills.
Effective problem solving skills.
Good team working skills are essential.
Computer literacy.
