Signal Processing Engineer - Medical Technology - Oxfordshire

I am working with an exciting medical technology company in Oxfordshire who are looking to hire a signal processing engineer.

Because of the nature of the work and the culture of the business we are looking for people who love solving complex engineering problems and who have a passion for life-improving technology.

As a Signal Processing Engineer, you will be utilising your knowledge to develop complex signal processing algorithms to perform feature extraction for downstream data processes, extract all relevant information from raw sensor data and overcoming as much as possible challenges and limitations. You will also have responsibility for the research and assessment of new sensors that measure both environments and vital signs as well as being charged with their integration into the hardware.

As an engineer in signal processing and sensors you will also be working closely with clinicians and the commercial team to ensure the problems being solved by the product is fully understood and that any developments with the technology are in line with what the end-user needs.

You will be using your experience to develop new ideas and innovations from initial concept all the way through to testing, validation, and deployment. This means that you will be able to take real ownership of your ideas and design your own experiments.

In exchange for your skills and expertise, the company offer a highly competitive package as well as providing you will all the tools and development you need to make this role a success. They have a great culture built on the mission that everyone within the company wants to make a difference with their work, delivering a step-change in how health issues are monitored and treated.

To be considered for this exciting, highly technical role you will need to have experience with signal processing and sensor development. This will need to be complemented by strong academics and software programming skills as well as a passion for life-improving technology.

The company are open-minded on where this experience has been earned, although if you do have medical devices experience, that would be extremely beneficial. They are also open minded on the level of experience you have, placing more emphasis on problem solving skills rather than the amount of years you have been in the field.
