CK Group are recruiting for a Microbiology Technical Specialist to join a Life Sciences company at their site located in Surrey on an initial contract basis.

Our client is a Life Sciences business providing diagnostic services to the healthcare sector.

This Microbiology Technical Specialist role is located in Surrey.

Microbiology Technical Specialist Role:
Your main duties will be to:
-Optimise and re-formulate products and support manufacturing and QC through problem solving, scientific interrogation and process improvement as well as designing, developing and implementing new manufacturing process? and support new product implementation and group manufacturing scale up activities.
-Characterise and analyse clinical products based around agglutination reactions, antibody antigen interactions and blood grouping including the planning and conducting of experiments.
-Support scale up activities and complete process validation activities and use process engineering to improve manufacturing and QC processes as well as tracking performance and identifying KPIs.

Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Educated to degree level or above in a Life Science subject with industry experience in a related manufacturing environment.
-Strong Microbiology knowledge and previous experience of latex agglutination technologies and blood grouping analysis kits.
-The ability to plan experiments, problem solve and progress projects independently and coordinate multiple projects with challenging timelines
