Bioinformatics Associate- Oxford

This is a great opportunity to join a diagnostics company who specialist in the detection of early stage cancers.

This role will join a multi-disciplinary team working on product development of cutting-edge technology. You will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of their automated Research and Development pipeline to ensure all analysis is completed in a timely manner. You will work across the chemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics and software teams, creating and establishing tools for reporting.

Some of the main responsibilities will include:
*Develop and refine reporting and dashboarding tools for the pipeline status and results
*Maintain the bioinformatics pipelines on a day-to-day basis and troubleshoot problems
*Collaborate closely with lab scientists to ensure pipeline captures the R&D team requirements
*Produce high quality written documentation of methods and findings
*Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures

Skills/Qualifications:
*MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics or related field
*Experience working in academia or industry related to bioinformatics
*Excellent python coding skillset
*Ability to report and dashboard in a high throughput sequencing analysis space
*Strong skillset in bioinformatics
*Strong understanding of the standards, data sources and tool chains used in next generation sequencing (NGS) and clinical genomics
*Industry experience in applied DNA methylation by sequencing
*Experience using public cloud services
*Experience building code using CI/CD
*Experience developing diagnostics products in genomics
*Experience of DNA sequence analysis, specifically in cancer
